Common Herbs to Avoid While Breastfeeding:

  • Aloe

  • Black Cohosh

  • Buckthorn

  • Cascara Sagrada

  • Kava Kava

  • Ma Huang

  • Sage

  • Senna

  • Wintergreen

Avoid excessive cocoa, coffee, and tea.

Herbs that traditionally stimulate milk flow:

  • Caraway

  • Celery

  • Chaste Berry Tree

  • Fennel

  • Fenugreek
